Fashion Friday Outfit #8

May 6, 2016

Hi everyone,

Here is a recap of last weeks “outfits of the day” that I posted on my Instagram feed.

I was inspired to make my own custom “Pardon My French” t-shirt by one of the cute ladies I follow on instagram.  She found her shirt at Old Navy but when I went to the website it was gone. So, I took matters into my own hands and stenciled my own shirt.

Instagram “outfit of the day” fashion recap

Hi everyone,

I’ve been MIA lately and I apologize for my absence.  The last four weeks have been quite chaotic with illnesses and a Spring Break vacation thrown in the mix.  I’m slowing trying to get back on track and settle in to a routine.   One area where I’ve been able to keep up to date is on my Instagram acct.  If you have an Instagram acct., I would love it if you followed me over there. Instagram makes it easy for me to post quick snippets of my day to day life.

One thing I love to do on Instagram is post my “outfit of the day” pictures.  I love being able to show how you can look put together without having to spend a lot of money.  I also like getting inspired by other fashion bloggers that use Instagram to post their pics.  There are a lot of talented ladies out there that can put together some fabulous outfits.

So with that said, here are some of my “outfit of the day” pics from my Instagram account.

Fashion Friday Outfit #6

March 25, 2016

Hi Everyone,

Today’s Fashion Friday outfit post is going to be a little different. The weather out here in Seattle has been less than ideal. There was a time over the last two weeks where I thought I was going to have to build an ark!  Since the weather made it difficult to get out an take pictures of my outfits, I’ve decided to just post my “outfit of the day” pictures from Instagram.  If you don’t already follow me on Instagram, please be sure to do so.  I post on there daily and I would love for you to follow along with me on my thrifting and crafting journey.

Fashion Friday Outfit #5

March 4, 2016

Hi Everyone,

I can’t believe it’s already March and pretty soon we will be putting away our sweaters.  I know in some parts of the country its already heating up, but up here in the PNW it’s still on the cool side.

I’m excited to show you my latest outfit I put together using mostly thrifted items.  My jumping off point was this black and white checkered top from Value Village.  A checkered shirt can be somewhat over powering by it’s self. However, when you pair it with a sweater or cardigan you can immediately tone it down.  So, I was over the moon when a few days later I came across this black cable knit sweater, also at Value Village.

Hi Everyone,

sweat shirt, outfit, jeans, casual outfit

Def Leppard sweat shirt outfit

Today for my Fashion Friday outfit, I’m posting about one of my favorite sweatshirts that I just love to throw on and go about my day.  I love this sweatshirt for two reasons… it has one of my favorite bands on it and its also comfortable and light weight,  I bought this sweatshirt a few years back at Forever 21.  I believe it was less than $12.00.

Fashion Friday Outfit #3, Valentine’s Day outfit

Feb. 12, 2016

Hi everyone,

First off,  I would like to wish everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day and I hope all of you have a great weekend!

The outfit I’m posting about today is paying homage to all things Valentine.  I love hearts and when I came across this scarf, I knew I had to build an outfit around it.  Lucky for me I had everything I needed to do so.

Fashion Friday outfit #2

Feb 5, 2016

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to post a short article about the outfit I was wearing today. It’s nothing fancy, just something I threw on while running some errands around town.  I’m all about being comfortable when you have to run errands to places like Costco.

Fashion Friday outfit #1

Jan 29, 2016

Hi everyone,

I’m going to post every Friday about an outfit that I wore sometime during the week.  I want to give you some inspiration on how to put an outfit together without breaking the bank.  Some items might be new and some will be things that I thrifted at my favorite resale shops.  I always try to buy new or thrifted at a discount.  I will try to link you to the items when I can.

So lets get started!

Todays outfit is a mismatch of new and thrifted. I’m in love with my new Army green cargo vest I just bought at Target.  It wasn’t on sale but since I’ve been on the hunt for one for a while I justified the price in my mind. LOL  I purchased the vest for $29.99 and it’s made by Merona.  I went to the Target website and for the life of me I couldn’t find it anywhere.  So I’m sorry I don’t have a link, however, I just purchased this last week.

The plaid shirt is from my local Fredmeyer and it was on sale for $12.99.  In some states this store is also known as Smith’s Market Place.

The jeans and black ankle boots I thrifted at my local Value Village shop.  This store is also known to some as Savers. The jeans are from American Eagle and I paid $7.99.  The black boots are Steve Madden and they were $5.99.  The boots were in great shape and best of all somebody had already broken them in for me, so they are super comfy.

Tip: I have a rule that when I go to Value Village I always take something to donate.  That serves two purposes.  I get rid of clutter and I also receive a coupon to use on my next purchase.  I never buy unless I have a coupon at Value Village.

All together I spent around $56.96.

I hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for stopping by!
