March 4, 2016
I can’t believe it’s already March and pretty soon we will be putting away our sweaters. I know in some parts of the country its already heating up, but up here in the PNW it’s still on the cool side.
I’m excited to show you my latest outfit I put together using mostly thrifted items. My jumping off point was this black and white checkered top from Value Village. A checkered shirt can be somewhat over powering by it’s self. However, when you pair it with a sweater or cardigan you can immediately tone it down. So, I was over the moon when a few days later I came across this black cable knit sweater, also at Value Village.
Here is a break down of my outfit.
- Black cable knit/GAP/thrifted Value Village $8.99
- Black & white checkered shirt/thrifted Value Village $5.99
- Jeans/Old Navy/thrifted Value Village $7.99
- Necklace/Charming Charlie $13.99
- Cross body bag/Ross $14.99
- Black flats/Merona/Target $19.99
I love how the collar of the checkered shirt has a peek a boo effect under the black sweater and the necklace dresses it up just a bit. You could also pair this sweater combo with a nice pair of slacks or skirt and some heels.
As always thanks for stopping by and please feel free to leave me a comment. I would love to hear from all of you.
Have a great weekend!
