Seattle Meowtropolitan cat cafe visit.

Today I wanted to share with you my visit to the Meowtropolitan cat cafe.  Over a week ago, I made a reservation for Friday the 18th to take my family to the Meowtropolitan.  This is a super cute and quirky cafe where not only can you can sit down to enjoy a drink and pastry but you can also be entertained by some really cute cats.

If you live in or plan on visiting the Seattle area, please stop by this adorable cafe.  It’s located at 1225 N 45th St., Seattle, WA 98103.  Even if your not a big cat lover you can still enjoy this quirky little cafe.

If you want to visit this cafe there are two ways you can do it.  You can simply walk in and enjoy a drink with a pastry and watch the cats through the glass or you can schedule an appt. to actually hang out with the cats in their enclosure.  The cats are separated from the main cafe area by a large glass wall.  They have their own little cat haven where they rule.  If space allows they will take walk-ins.  I wanted to make sure we would have a chance to hang out with the cats so I made a reservation online. Reservations to go inside the cat lounge cost $10.00 per person and this price includes one free drink.  You must be eight years or older to enter the cat lounge.

Once you arrive at the cafe, you will need to check in at the register.  Your reservation comes with a drink and the barista will take your order while you wait for your turn to go hang out with the cats.  The cafe has a nice choice of drinks and the most adorable pastries.  The barista’s are pretty creative with the drinks.  Here is a pic of my son’s hot chocolate with a heart on it and my mom’s Chi tea had a cute cat face on it. I also took pictures of some of the adorable pastries that they have.

They will announce when it’s time for you to go in with the cats.  You are more than welcome to take your drinks and pastries with you but, before you go into the cat area, you will enter into a little holding area where you must first sanitize your hands.  Once your in the cat area, you are free to walk around and interact with the cats.  However, you can not pick them up!  Your reservation gives you about an hour in there but you can come and go if you like.

Here are some of the pics from our visit.

As you can see, it’s a pretty large area for them to move around in.  The owners built all kinds of fun structures for them to sleep, play and climb in.  Some of these cats are full time residents and some are up for adoption.

The cats are super friendly, love to play and some just wanted to sleep.

Don’t let the look of this cat fool you, she was the friendliest cat in there.  Just ask my mom! LOL
