DIY Easter Bunny Butt Wreath

Craft Outlet, Wreath, Easter, bunny

Hi everyone,

It’s been a while since I last posted.  Life just seems to be getting in the way lately.  I did, however, find some time to work on a new DIY Easter Bunny Butt Wreath for my front door and I wanted to show how you too can make this adorable bunny wreath.  I was inspired by a similar wreath that I saw on the Craft Outlet FB page and I thought that this would look awesome on my front door! I order craft supplies from them on a regular bases.  They have some cute accessories (like the bunny butt) that I can’t find at my local craft stores.  This DIY Easter bunny wreath is easy to do and it took me less than an hour to complete it.  So let’s get started! Easter Bunny Spring Wreath

March 10, 2016

Hi Everyone,

Today I wanted to show you how I made this Easter Bunny Spring wreath.

Easter Bunny Spring Wreath

On my last trip to Goodwill, I came across this adorable hydrangea wreath.  It still had the original tags on it and it looked like nobody had ever used it.  I was lucky enough to score this wreath for only $3.99. However, the wreath was a little plain and it was in need of a little makeover.

Here is a pic of how the wreath looked when I bought it.

As you can see, it wasn’t living up to it’s full potential.  The wreath needed to be fuller so, I added in some more hydrangeas. Then the next step was finding something cute to go in the middle.

My first stop was to my local Joann’s where I purchased a bushel of white hydrangeas.  Then I went over to Micheal’s and found a cute wooden bunny sign to go in the middle.  I also found at Michaels a cute Easter egg pick that had 3 beautiful turquoise eggs on it.  To top off my supplies, I found some cute pink and white floral accents from the Dollar store.  They came in a bushel for $1.00 and I just simply cut them apart and added them around the wreath to give it a little more dimension.

I’m really pleased with how it turned out.  It’s amazing how a few extra items can give new life to a thrifted item. All together this wreath cost me $18.96

Cost of wreath breakdown:

  • Goodwill wreath $3.99
  • White hydrangeas/JoAnn’s $5.99
  • Easter Bunny sign/Michaels $7.79
  • Egg pick/Michaels $1.19
  • Pink and white floral accent/Dollar store $1.00
  • Green hydrangeas/my personal stash/ free

I hope this wreath gives you some ideas on how to take a plain floral wreath and jazz it up a bit with just a few items.

Here is one more look at the finished project.
